What We Do

Through the Mizuho Americas PAC, we can expand awareness for our issues and develop bipartisan relationships with lawmakers, on both sides of the aisle, who understand the regulatory issues that impact our industry and will advocate alongside us for policies that ensure the future of our business.

Every voluntary contribution to the Mizuho Americas PAC makes a difference and goes toward protecting and advancing the interests of our company, our employees, and our stakeholders.

L​ife of a Mizuho Americas PAC Dollar

An eligible employee makes a voluntary contribution to the Mizuho Americas PAC.

Contributions are limited by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) during the calendar year to $5,000 per contributor.

Individual voluntary contributions to the Mizuho Americas PAC are pooled together to amplify our collective voice.

Elected officials receive PAC contributions on behalf of the PAC. The PAC supports candidates who understand the importance of their policy and regulatory issues.

Candidates are selected by the Government Affairs team, and the PAC contribution budget is approved by the PAC Board of Directors Contribution criteria is used to guide decision making in alignment with the Mizuho Americas PAC purpose, goals, and legislative priorities​.

The Government Aff​airs team may attend fundraising events for candidates whom the PAC has supported. These events help establish relationships and ensure candidates are aware of all that Mizuho does.​

Mizuho Americas PAC receipts, contributions, and expenditures are reported and publicly disclosed to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) reporting ensures PAC contributions are transparent and legally compliant.
